Three Named as Finalists for Young Athlete of the Year Honour

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The trio have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.
The event will be aired from 19:00 GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the best young player in Europe.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
Littler's Profile
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
The year started for Littler in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Being nominated for this award again is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
