Outrage as Beloved South African DJ Shot Dead in Johannesburg.
A renowned South African media personality and entertainer has been murdered in the metropolis of Johannesburg, causing national outrage across a country struggling with rampant crime.
Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was attacked in the downtown area on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the 40-year-old presenter was confronted by three individuals, with one opened fire on him before fleeing on foot.
The purpose of the attack has not been established and no arrests have taken place, police said.

Authorities indicated that Stock was ambushed as he was departing from a building near the Carlton Centre.
He had spent several hours at the building managing the setup of security systems, which had been illegally inhabited by unidentified individuals, according to reports.
"It is alleged the victim was confronted by three unknown suspects after parking his vehicle, and they opened fire at him before running from the location on foot," an official report confirmed.
Security camera video reportedly depicted a suspect with dreadlocks and wearing what looked like a protective services outfit opening fire on Stock before running away.
The DJ sought to escape after he was hit but collapsed a short distance away.
Police added that Stock had an gun that was not fired and no items were stolen during the assault.
