A Contentious Ally

Truss's attempt to transplant Maga media to the UK has aligned her more closely to divisive personalities such as the journalist.

He founded his media outlet in the wake of scrutiny after he was accused of promoting inaccurate reports about Biden's anti-corruption work in the Ukraine, as well as controversial stories about the former US ambassador to that country.

His claims were echoed within the pro-Trump outlets, with he featuring as a frequent visitor on the widely-watched cable news broadcast. Trump himself boosted the journalist's work.

"It is necessary to treat people like Truss with seriousness, although you may not want to take them literally," commented a Democratic strategist, who was employed in the Biden administration.
