Beloved Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Appearances in Friends and The Middle, Passes Away at 60 Years Old.
American performer Finn, who was seen in popular television series like Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has succumbed at the age of 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer succumbed at his home in Los Angeles recently after undergoing cancer treatment since 2022, as reported by news outlets.
"He never met a stranger - solely future friends he hadn't encountered," his family stated in a announcement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".
A Prolific Television Career
His debut TV appearance was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the lead character's sibling.
He subsequently landed a regular part on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in the late 90s, depicting a party host famous for delegating tedious tasks to his guests.
Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on several hit series, such as:
- "King of Queens"
- "Friends"
- That '70s Show
- House, M.D.
Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight series between 2011 and 2018.
His work in movies include It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Off-Screen Life
Away from his on-screen roles, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and also taught at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was part of a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn guided, supported, and advised many learners over the years and it's nearly impossible to find someone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A wonderful father and man," he posted online.
Finn is remembered by his wife Donna, three children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
