In a unexpected crossover event that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the official release, "An unusual encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
